Nutrition is the fuel that your body needs to operate at its peak performance. A driving principle of mine is the fact that diets don’t work! The word ‘diet’ is driven by ‘deprivation’. When we deprive ourselves of something, we will crave it. I like to focus on the positive things that we can have. We will also focus on how to put your body in its ideal state to digest and assimilate food.
Movement is vitally important to your overall health and mood as well as helping to balance your blood sugar. Keeping with the theme of what you ‘can have’ or ‘can do’ versus what you ‘have to do’ or ‘can’t do’, movement is about moving because it feels good! The results are secondary. When something is fun and pleasurable, we are more motivated to do it and actually start looking forward to it. This is a huge paradigm shift!
